Kinston is a small city of about 25,000 people in eastern North Carolina. Voted as one of the United States’ 2010 All-American Cities, Kinston is located along Highway 70 between Raleigh and Morehead City, an hour and a half east of the Triangle and an hour and fifteen minutes west of the beach (Click here to see a map). It is the home of the Kinston Indians, a minor league baseball team, and the 2010 2A State Basketball Champions, the Kinston Vikings. After making it’s name in the history books as a historic Civil War battle site and the hometown of former Tar Heel great, Jerry Stackhouse, Kinston is again making headlines as the home of the North Carolina Global TransPark, a fast-developing industrial complex and airport.
Greetings from Kinston, NC!
